Strive High Academy strengthens children, families and communities through meaningful programs, supportive resources, educational opportunities and uplifting community experiences.
We believe every child deserves encouragement, opportunity and a strong support system. That is why we create programs and experiences that bring people together and help our community thrive.
We are based in the Charleston area and we serve families across the Lowcountry.
Summerville · North Charleston · Ladson · Goose Creek · Moncks Corner · Charleston and the surrounding Lowcountry.
Four things we will not compromise on
Presence
We stay past the casseroles. Grief does not end when the attention does.
Dignity
No family fills out a hardship essay to be helped. We ask what is needed and we bring it.
Joy
Grieving children are still children. They get parties, pink carpets and celebrations too.
Follow through
We would rather promise less and deliver all of it.
Programs and experiences
Love Lives On is our grief support program for children who have lost a parent, built around connection, encouragement and events across the year.
The Pet Mission places a pet with a child who has lost a parent and covers the adoption, supplies, food and veterinary care for a full year, in partnership with Youngpreneur Academy.
Pawsh Ever After, The Charleston Puppy Prom, is our signature community fundraiser. It brings the Lowcountry together for one joyful day and funds the work behind it.
Additional programs, resources and community experiences are in development and will be announced as they are ready.
Businesses, schools, churches and community organizations
We work with counselors, school staff, funeral homes, faith communities and local businesses. If your work already touches children and families in the Lowcountry, there is a place for you here.

Counselors, teachers, pastors, funeral directors and family members can all reach out about a child. There is no cost to the family.
